About Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in 2008. The Department offers four year B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering Programme with sanctioned intake of 60 from 2008 onwards and the department has increased its intake strength to 120 from the Academic Year 2009-2010 onwards. The department offers a PG Programmme M.Tech. in VLSI and Embedded systems with an intake of 18 from 2011- 2012 onwards.

Faculty & Research

The department has adequate and eminent faculty. Faculty expertise includes Signal & Image Processing, VLSI, Communication Engineering, Embedded systems and Electronic System Design. The department has well established Electronics & Circuit, Digital Signal Processing / VLSI, Microprocessor, Optical & Microwave, RF & Communication Laboratories with the state of art computing facilities with software. The department also has audio-visual facilities with LCD projectors in all class rooms for effective teaching.

With technology becoming all pervasive in everyday life, opportunities for Electronic Engineers are endless. The ECE Department at QIS Institute of Technology prepares students for careers in this constantly evolving discipline. Students pursuing B.Tech. in ECE have a full and flexible undergraduate curriculum. Numerous streams can be tailored to fit each individual's interests, skills and career goals. Students are honed for incredible careers in industry, academia and research.

Excellent teaching and learning environment will be achieved by focusing attention on scientific assessment of results, continuing education, conducting and participating in seminars, conferences, workshops and entrepreneurship program. Students of our department actively participate in National-level Student Paper Contests being organized at various Engineering Colleges.
